(1) A protected person
or a person referred to in section 19C(4)(e) may appear, or be represented by
counsel or solicitor, at the hearing of an application for leave and is to be
informed of that right when a notification is sent under section 19C(4)(d) or
(e).
(2) If there is a
jury, the court is to hear and determine an application for leave in the
absence of the jury.
