Where proceedings are
taken against any person for having received anything which has been obtained
by means of any act constituting an indictable offence, knowing the same to
have been so obtained, evidence may be given at any stage of the proceedings
that there was found in the possession of such person any other thing obtained
by such means within the preceding period of 12 months, and such evidence may
be taken into consideration for the purpose of proving that such person knew
the property which forms the subject of the proceedings taken against him to
have been obtained by means of an act constituting an indictable offence.
