(1) A person given a
direction under section 47, 67, 70, 71, 72A or 75(1)(i) must comply with the
direction.
Penalty:
(a)
imprisonment for 12 months or a fine of $50 000;
(b) for
each separate and further offence committed by the person under the
Interpretation Act 1984 section 71, a fine of $5 000.
(2) A person must
comply with a direction referred to in subsection (1) despite the provisions
of any other written law, and the person does not commit an offence by reason
of that compliance.
(3) It is a defence to
a charge of an offence under subsection (1) for the person to prove that the
person had a reasonable excuse for failing to comply with the direction.
