(1) There shall be a
Director of Equal Opportunity in Public Employment who shall be appointed by
the Governor.
(2) Subject to this
Part, the Director holds office for such period, not exceeding 4 years, as is
specified in the instrument of the Director’s appointment and on the
expiration of that term the person is eligible for reappointment.
(3) Sections 75(3) to
79 apply to and in respect of the appointment and office of the Director in
the same way as they apply to and in respect of the appointment and office of
the Commissioner.
(4) The Director is
entitled to such terms and conditions of service, including remuneration and
travelling and other allowances, as the Minister determines from time to time
on the recommendation of the Public Sector Commissioner.
