(1) If —
(a) the
court orders the payment of moneys under this Division; and
(b) the
amount payable under the order is not paid within 28 days after the date of
the order,
the amount may be
recovered as a judgment debt in a court of competent jurisdiction, unless an
order is made under subsection (2).
(2) If the order is
made by the Supreme Court or the District Court, that court may in addition
make an order under section 59 of the Sentencing Act 1995 and for that
purpose that section, with any necessary changes, applies as if the order were
a fine imposed on the offender.
(3) For the purposes
of subsection (1), a certified copy of an order is on request to be issued
(without payment of a fee) to the CEO and the copy may be registered (without
payment of a fee) as a judgment in a court of competent jurisdiction.
