(1) The chief
executive officer may impose such conditions with respect to the registration
of an education service provider as the chief executive officer thinks fit and
without limiting the generality of this section those conditions may relate to
any one or more of the following —
(a) the
holding of —
(i)
a policy of indemnity insurance;
(ii)
a guarantee,
approved by the
Minister;
(b)
participation by the education service provider in an indemnity scheme
approved by the Minister.
(2) An education
service provider shall comply with every condition imposed by the chief
executive officer under subsection (1).
(3) An education
service provider that contravenes or fails to comply with a condition imposed
under this section commits an offence.
Penalty: $15 000 or imprisonment for 2 years or
both.
