(1) A judge must
retire from office on attaining 70 years of age.
(2) A judge may resign
from office by giving written notice to the Governor and the resignation takes
effect on the day on which the notice is received by the Governor or on such
later day as is specified in the notice.
(3) Subject to
subsections (1) and (2), the commission of a judge continues in force during
good behaviour but the Governor may, upon the address of both Houses of
Parliament, remove any judge from office and revoke the judge’s
commission.
