(1) An affected person
may object to a notice if the person has not applied under this Division for a
review of the decision to give the notice.
(2) The objection is
made by preparing it in the approved form and lodging a copy of the completed
objection form with the chief executive officer of the local government within
28 days after the notice is given, or within such further time as the local
government may allow.
(3) An objection must
be dealt with by the local government as if it were an objection to a decision
of the local government under the Local Government Act 1995 Part 9 and
section 9.6 of that Act applies when dealing with that objection.
