(1) A JP has and may
perform —
(a) the
functions conferred on a JP by laws that apply in Western Australia, including
this Act and other written laws; and
(b) the
functions conferred by the commission appointing the JP.
(2) A JP may perform
his or her functions anywhere in the State unless the commission appointing
the JP says otherwise.
(3) A JP is not
disqualified from performing a function of a JP by reason only of being a
ratepayer or being interested in common with the public.
