other proceeding may be commenced in accordance with section 38A of this Act
notwithstanding that the period of limitation applicable before the coming
into operation of the Acts Amendment (Asbestos Related Diseases) Act 1983 in
respect of the action, suit or other proceeding may have expired before the
coming into operation of that Act.
