(1) Statewide public
notice calling for nominations of candidates for the election must be given on
or after the 63 rd day, but not later than on the 52 nd day, before election
day by —
(a) the
Electoral Commissioner if the Electoral Commissioner is responsible for the
conduct of the election; or
(b) the
returning officer in any other case.
(2) The notice calling
for nominations is to specify —
(a) the
kind of election to be held and the vacancy or vacancies to be filled; and
(b) the
place where nominations may be delivered or sent (the nomination place ); and
(c) the
period within which nominations have to be delivered or sent; and
(d) any
other arrangements made for the receipt by the returning officer of
nominations.
