(1) A returning
officer is to provide the Minister with a report as to the result of the
election.
(2) The report under
subsection (1) —
(a) is
to be provided within the prescribed period; and
(b) is
to deal with the matters prescribed for the purposes of subsection (1).
(3) On being directed
by the Minister to do so the returning officer, if appointed under
section 4.20(1) or (2), is to provide the Minister with a report on the
conduct of the election dealing with the matters set out in the direction or
prescribed for the purposes of this subsection.
(4) If the Electoral
Commissioner is responsible for the conduct of the election, the Electoral
Commissioner may provide the Minister with a report on the conduct of the
election.
