LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1995 - SECT 5.72

5.72 .         Defence to prosecution

                It is a defence to a prosecution under section 5.70(2), 5.71 or 5.71A(1) or (3) if the person proves that he or she did not know that he or she had an interest in the matter.
