(1) In this section
—
proceedings means —
(a)
proceedings in the Magistrates Court, the Children’s Court or the State
Administrative Tribunal; or
(b)
proceedings in respect of a claim against a person who takes the benefit of an
Act for the relief of bankrupt debtors.
(2) In proceedings a
person who is —
(a) the
CEO; or
(b) an
employee of the local government appointed in writing signed by the CEO to
represent the local government generally or in a particular case,
may represent the
local government in all respects as though the person were the local
government.
(3) The person
representing the local government in the proceedings is entitled to be
reimbursed by the local government for any money paid or required to be paid
by the person as a result of representing the local government in the
proceedings.
