(1) The Attorney
General may, either generally or as otherwise provided by the instrument of
delegation, by writing signed by him, delegate to any person or body any of
his powers under this Act, other than the power to make and enter into
contracts conferred by section 4 and the power of delegation conferred by this
section.
(2) For the purposes
of this Act, the exercise by a delegate of a power delegated under this
section shall be deemed to be the exercise of the power by the Attorney
General.
(3) A delegation under
this section may —
(a) be
made subject to such conditions, qualifications, and exceptions as are set out
in the instrument of delegation;
(b) be
revoked or varied by instrument in writing signed by the Attorney General.
(4) The Attorney
General may exercise a power notwithstanding that he has delegated its
exercise under this section.
