Western Australian Current Acts Western Australian Current Acts The Governor may make,
alter and repeal by-laws in accordance with and for the purposes referred to
in paragraph (g) of subclause (1) of clause 5 of the Agreement, and the
by-laws —
(a)
shall be published in the Government Gazette ;
(b)
shall take effect and have the force of law from the date they are so
published, or from a later date fixed by the order making the by-laws;
(c) may
prescribe penalties not exceeding $100 for a breach of any of the by-laws; and
(d) are
not subject to section 36 of the Interpretation Act 1918 2 , but shall be laid
before each House of Parliament within 6 sitting days of the House next
following the publication of the by-laws in the Gazette as provided in
paragraph (a).
