(1) Subject to this
Act, the mining registrar or the warden, in accordance with section 42, may,
on the application of any person grant to that person a licence to be known as
a prospecting licence which shall be subject to such conditions as are
prescribed or are imposed pursuant to section 24, 24A or 25 or are specified
in the licence.
(2) The area of land
in respect of which any one prospecting licence may be granted shall not
exceed 200 ha.
(3) A person may be
granted more than one prospecting licence.
