(1) Subsection (2)
applies if a transport order made in respect of a person is revoked because of
section 153, or expires, before the person is received into the hospital or
other place to which the person was to have been transported under the order.
(2) The transport
officer or police officer who was responsible for carrying out the transport
order must take reasonable steps to ensure the person is taken, at the
person’s election —
(a) back
to the place from which the person was being or was to have been transported;
or
(b) to a
place reasonably nominated by the person.
(3) Subsection (2)
does not require the person to be taken to a place if to do so poses a serious
risk to the safety of the person or another person.
