Western Australian Current Acts Western Australian Current Acts (1) This section
applies in relation to a voluntary patient who has the capacity to consent to
a carer or close family member of the patient being provided with the
information referred to in section 285(1)(a), or being involved in the matters
referred to in section 285(1)(b), relating to his or her treatment and care.
(2) The carer or close
family member is entitled to be provided with that information, or to be
involved in those matters, with the voluntary patient’s consent.
