(1) The Director may
apply for a warrant under the Health and Disability Services (Complaints) Act
1995 section 63 in respect of premises if the Director reasonably believes
that the entry and inspection of those premises is necessary for the purposes
of an investigation.
(2) The
Health and Disability Services (Complaints) Act 1995 Part 4 applies (with the
necessary changes) in relation to —
(a) an
application made under subsection (1) for a warrant; and
(b) the
execution of any warrant issued in respect of such an application.
(3) An offence under
the Health and Disability Services (Complaints) Act 1995 section 66 as
applied by subsection (2)(b) is punishable by a fine not exceeding $6 000.
