(1) In this section
—
relevant information means information that, in
the Chief Psychiatrist’s opinion, is or is likely to be relevant to the
treatment or care that has been or is being provided to a person, or the
persons in a class of person, specified in section 515(1).
(2) The Chief
Psychiatrist may issue a written direction to the person in charge of a mental
health service that holds relevant information requiring the person in charge
to disclose the information to the Chief Psychiatrist.
(3) The person in
charge of a mental health service to whom a direction is issued under
subsection (2) must comply with the direction.
Penalty for an offence under this subsection: a
fine of $5 000.
