PARTNERSHIP ACT 1895 - SECT 4

4 .         Application of Act

        (1)         Subject to subsections (2) and (3), this Act shall not apply to any company or association which is —

            (a)         registered as a company under the Corporations Act 2001 of the Commonwealth or any other Act of Parliament for the time being in force and relating to the registration of joint stock companies; or

            (b)         formed or incorporated by or in pursuance of any other local or foreign Act of Parliament, or Letters Patent, or Royal Charter.

        (2)         This Act applies to a limited partnership to the extent and with the modifications set out in the Limited Partnerships Act 2016 section 6.

        (3)         This Act applies to an incorporated limited partnership to the extent and with the modifications set out in the Limited Partnerships Act 2016 sections 8 and 9.
