(1) The Commissioner
of Police may appoint so many non-commissioned officers and constables of
different grades as he shall deem necessary for preservation of peace and
order throughout the said State, subject, however, to the approval of the
Governor.
(2) The Minister, or a
person authorised by him, may appoint persons to be police cadets who shall
have such powers and privileges and be liable to such duties and obligations
as may be prescribed, but shall not be members of the Police Force.
