(1) Where a member of
the Police Force has reasonable cause to suspect that a person —
(a) has
committed an offence against this Act; or
(b) has
information relevant to an investigation as to whether an offence against this
Act has been committed,
the member may require
that person to state the person’s name and address.
(2) A person must not
refuse or fail to comply with a requirement under subsection (1) and must not
give a name or address that is false or misleading.
Penalty: $2 000.
(3) Where a member of
the Police Force has reasonable cause to suspect that a person has committed
an offence against subsection (2), the member may arrest that person without
warrant.
