(1) The Chief Health
Officer may, for the purposes of preventing, controlling or abating a serious
public health risk, authorise an authorised officer to exercise any of the
serious public health incident powers.
(2) The serious public
health incident powers conferred on an authorised officer by an authorisation
under subsection (1) are in addition to, and do not limit —
powers conferred on the person as an authorised officer under Part 16; or
powers the person may have under another written law or other law.
(3) The Chief Health
Officer may vary or revoke an authorisation under subsection (1).
