An authorised officer
who has seized an item under this Part may cause the item to be destroyed or
otherwise disposed of despite any provision to the contrary in this Part if
the authorised officer is satisfied that the item —
(a)
poses an immediate risk to health or property; or
(b) is
perishable and has become rotten or has otherwise deteriorated; or
(c) is
perishable and is likely to become rotten or perish before it can be dealt
with under another provision of this Part.
