any limitation is invalid as infringing the rule against perpetuities, the
perpetuity period is, for the purposes of that rule, such period of years not
exceeding 80 as may be specified in the instrument creating that limitation
or, if no such period of years is specified, the period that is applicable
under the rule at law.
