PETROLEUM (SUBMERGED LANDS) ACT 1982 - SECT 39

39 .         Recovery of petroleum in adjacent area

                A person shall not carry on operations for the recovery of petroleum in the adjacent area except —

            (a)         under and in accordance with a licence; or

            (b)         as otherwise permitted by this Part.

        Penalty: a fine of $50 000 or imprisonment for 5 years, or both.
