(1) A party to a
contract with the Authority cannot assign any right or other benefit under the
contract unless the Authority consents to the assignment.
(2) A purported
assignment contrary to subsection (1) is void.
(3) The consent may be
withheld until —
(a) any
proposed assignee enters into an acceptable contract with the Authority or a
person specified by the Authority; or
(b) a
person specified by the Authority enters into an acceptable contract with the
Authority in connection with the assignment.
(4) In subsection (3)
—
acceptable contract means a contract containing
any terms and conditions with respect to the proposed assignment and the
proposed assignee that the Authority insists on having in the contract.
