approved expert means a person, or a person of a
class of persons, approved by the CEO (corrections) as having the appropriate
qualifications, skills and experience to carry out assessments under
section 124E;
firearm has the meaning given in section 106(5);
prescribed offence means —
(a) a
family violence offence (category B); or
(b) an
offence against a law of the Commonwealth, of another State or of a Territory,
or of a place outside Australia, if the act or acts constituting the offence
would, if committed in the State, constitute a family violence offence
(category B); or
(c) an
attempt to commit such an offence under paragraph (a) or (b).
