(1) This section
applies to an offender who is convicted of —
(a) a
COC Act offence; or
(b) an
offence to which section 9D(3) or (4) applies.
(2) The principal
objectives of the court in sentencing an offender to which this section
applies must be —
(a) to
denounce the activities of declared criminal organisations, their members and
associates; and
(b) to
protect the community from those activities.
