(1) If a
licensee’s triennial certificate is renewed within the period of one
month immediately succeeding the day on which the triennial certificate
expired or was surrendered, the renewal takes effect on and from the day next
succeeding the day on which the triennial certificate expired or was
surrendered.
(2) If a
licensee’s triennial certificate is renewed more than 1 month but not
more than 12 months after the day on which the triennial certificate expired
or was surrendered, the renewal takes effect —
(a) if
the Commissioner is satisfied that there is reasonable cause for the renewal
to take effect on and from the day after the day on which the triennial
certificate expired or was surrendered — on that day; or
(b)
otherwise — on the day the renewal is granted.
