(1) The use of a
business name by a licensee is not subject to the approval of the Commissioner
but —
(a) a
licensee may carry on business as a settlement agent under only one business
name which shall be endorsed on his triennial certificate; and
(b) a
licensee carrying on the business of a settlement agent under a business name
shall, on all correspondence from him in that business, identify the person or
persons constituting the licensee.
(2) A licensee who
alters the name, style, title or designation under which he carries on
business as a settlement agent shall within 14 days after the day on which he
first uses that altered name, style, title, or designation in connection with
that business give notice in writing to the Commissioner of the altered name,
style, title, or designation.
Penalty: $1 000.
