SENTENCE ADMINISTRATION ACT 2003 - SECT 123

123 .         Terms used

                In this Division —

        commencement means the day on which the Sentencing Legislation Amendment Act 2016 Part 2 comes into operation;

        former transitional provisions means —

            (a)         the Sentencing (Consequential Provisions) Act 1995 section 83, 86, 87 or 91(1), as affected by the Sentencing Legislation Amendment and Repeal Act 2003 Schedule 1 clause 13; and

            (b)         the Offenders Community Corrections Act 1963 3 as continued in operation by any of those provisions of the Sentencing (Consequential Provisions) Act 1995 ;

        pre-1996 prisoner means a prisoner —

            (a)         sentenced before 4 November 1996; and

            (b)         to whom the Sentencing (Consequential Provisions) Act 1995 section 83, 86, 87 or 91(1) applied;

        transitional period means the period —

            (a)         beginning on 4 November 1996; and

            (b)         ending immediately before commencement.
