(1) A licensee must
give to a licensing officer written notice within 7 days after —
(a)
being charged with a disqualifying offence; or
(b)
there has been a finding of guilt in relation to an offence committed by the
licensee,
setting out details of
the charge, offence, conviction, finding or plea.
Penalty: a fine of $2 000.
(2) As soon as is
possible after receiving notice under this section, the licensing officer to
whom the notice was given is to consider the notice and any other information
he or she considers relevant and take such action as he or she considers
appropriate, including to refer the matter to the Commissioner as to either or
both of the following matters —
(a)
whether the licence of the person should be revoked or suspended under
section 67A;
(b)
whether an allegation should be made under section 67(1).
