(1) The chief
executive officer is to approve an application under section 159B for a
registration change if the chief executive officer is satisfied —
(a) as
to the matters referred to in section 160(1) that, in the opinion of the chief
executive officer, are relevant to the application; and
(b) if
the application is in respect of a significant registration change, there has
been no material change to the information supplied under section 157A in
relation to the advance determination about the proposal to make the
significant registration change.
(2) If the chief
executive officer is not satisfied as required under subsection (1), the chief
executive officer is to —
(a)
approve the application and —
(i)
give a quality improvement notice; or
(ii)
impose, or change, a condition; or
(iii)
give a direction;
or
(b)
refuse to approve the application.
(3) If the chief
executive officer approves the application, the chief executive officer is to
amend the information that is recorded in the register in respect of the
school in accordance with the approval.
