(1) The Minister may
by order published in the Government Gazette revoke an order under
section 169 in respect of a school system if —
(a) the
Minister is no longer satisfied that section 169(2) applies to the schools in
the system; or
(b) the
Minister is satisfied that it is in the best interests of children at schools
in the system to do so.
(2) An order under
subsection (1) in respect of a school system may provide that the registration
of a school in the system will remain in force for a period of up to 12 months
after the order comes into force.
(3) The Minister is
not to publish an order under subsection (1) in respect of a school system
without first —
(a)
notifying the governing body of the system of the proposed revocation and of
the reasons for it; and
(b)
giving the governing body a reasonable opportunity to show why the order
should not be revoked.
(4) The revocation
takes effect at such time as is specified in the order.
