(1) Before the
Minister exercises any power conferred by section 216(2)(c) he or she is to
—
(a)
notify the Treasurer of the proposal; and
(b) seek
the Treasurer’s approval to it,
unless it is of a kind
that the Treasurer has determined in writing need not be so notified.
(2) If the Treasurer
approves the proposal, he or she may impose requirements to be complied with
by the Minister in connection with it.
(3) The Treasurer may
also give directions to be complied with generally by the Minister in the
exercise of the powers referred to in subsection (1).
