(1) The owner of a
leasehold scheme must, at least 1 month before the expiry of the scheme, lodge
with the Registrar of Titles notice, in the approved form, of the impending
expiry of the leasehold scheme.
(2) If the owner of a
leasehold scheme fails to give the necessary notice, it may be given by an
owner of a lot in the scheme and the owner may recover the cost of doing so as
a debt in a court of competent jurisdiction from the owner of the leasehold
scheme.
Note for this section:
Expiry of a leasehold
scheme does not require an approval of a subdivision of land as the expiry is
approved as part of the process of initial subdivision by the scheme.
