TRANSFER OF LAND ACT 1893 - SECT 189

189 .         Registrar may correct apparent errors in instruments without direction of Commissioner

        (1)         The Registrar may without the direction of the Commissioner correct any patent error in any instrument (whether in paper or electronic form) lodged for registration without such instrument being withdrawn from the Authority.

        (2)         Such correction must be made in compliance with section 188(3) to (6) and such correction shall have the same validity and effect as if made under the direction of the Commissioner under section 188.
