(1) A passenger
transport driver authorisation is granted for the prescribed period.
(2) A passenger
transport driver authorisation may be renewed in accordance with the
regulations.
(3) A passenger
transport driver authorisation remains in force until whichever of the
following occurs first —
(a) it
expires;
(b) it
is cancelled.
(4) A passenger
transport driver authorisation is not in force during any period for which it
is suspended.

(5) A passenger
transport driver authorisation is not in force to permit the driving of a
vehicle during any period that the holder of the authorisation is not
authorised under the Road Traffic (Authorisation to Drive) Act 2008 to drive
the vehicle.
