If this Part provides
that an authorised officer may seize a thing, the authorised officer may do so
only if the authorised officer reasonably suspects that it is necessary to
seize the thing for one or more of the following purposes —
(a) to
prevent it from being concealed, disturbed or lost;
(b) to
preserve its evidentiary value;
(c) to
subject it to forensic analysis;
(d) to
prevent it from being used in the commission of an offence.
