Western Australian Current Acts Western Australian Current Acts (1) Notwithstanding
anything in the Mining Act 1978 or in any other law, the Minister to whom the
administration of that Act is for the time being committed by the Governor may
on the application of the Joint Venturers made under clause 5(1) of the
Agreement grant to the Joint Venturers a special licence to remove tailings
from the tailings areas and treat them in accordance with the Agreement, and a
special licence so granted has effect according to its tenor.
(2) The provisions of
the Agreement relating to the Special Licence apply to and in relation to the
special licence as if those provisions were enacted in this Act.
