water corporation means a corporation as defined
in the Water Corporations Act 1995 section 3(1).
(1) The Minister may,
in writing, direct a water corporation to have regard to a general policy of
the Government relating to water resources, to the extent specified in the
direction.
(2) The Minister must
cause a copy of a direction under subsection (1) to be laid before each House
of Parliament, or dealt with under section 110, within 14 days after the day
on which the direction is given.
(3) The text of a
direction under subsection (1) is to be included in the annual report
submitted by the accountable authority of the Department under Part 5 of the
Financial Management Act 2006.
