Western Australian Current Acts Western Australian Current Acts (1) A person must not
do anything set out in subsection (2) —
(a) in
connection with an application for a container approval; or
(b) in
connection with a claim for payment under a scheme agreement or any other
agreement between a person and the Coordinator; or
(c) in,
or in connection with, a notice or document given under this Part or
regulations made for the purposes of this Part; or
(d) in
compliance, or purported compliance, with a requirement under this Part or
regulations made for the purposes of this Part.
Penalty for this subsection: a fine of $50 000.
(2) The things to
which subsection (1) applies are making a statement or giving information that
—
(a) the
person knows is false or misleading in a material particular; or
(b)
omits anything without which the statement or information is, to the
person’s knowledge, misleading in a material particular.
