(1) The board of a
corporation must, after consultation with the Public Sector Commissioner,
prepare and issue a code or codes of conduct setting out minimum standards of
conduct and integrity to be observed by members of staff of the corporation.
(2) In complying with
subsection (1) the board is to have regard to the principles set out in
section 9 of the Public Sector Management Act 1994 .
(3) The board may,
after consultation with the Public Sector Commissioner, amend any code of
conduct in force under subsection (1) or revoke it and substitute a new code
of conduct.
(4) In this section
and in sections 25 and 26 —
members of staff includes the chief executive
officer.
