(1) Notice of the time
and place for the hearing of a proceeding is to be given in accordance with
the arbitration rules to —
(a) each
party to the proceeding;
(b) each
other person entitled to notice of the hearing under this Act.
(2) If a person,
including a party, to whom notice has been given in accordance with the
arbitration rules fails to attend, the hearing may be held in the absence of
that person.
(3) The failure of a
party to attend a hearing of a proceeding does not affect the validity of any
decision made in relation to the proceeding.
