(1) An employer or any
person on his behalf, or an insurer or any person on its behalf, shall not,
directly or indirectly, take or receive any money from any worker whether by
way of deduction from wages or otherwise, in respect of any liability of an
employer to pay compensation under this Act.
(2) Where money is so
taken or received from any worker, whether with the consent of such worker or
not, he may sue and recover the amount of that money from the employer,
insurers, or person who took or received it.
(3) A person
contravening subsection (1) commits an offence.
