(1) To the extent that
this section is inconsistent with anything expressly stated in another
provision of this Act, this section does not apply.
(2) Each of the
following persons has the same protection and immunity as a judge of the
District Court has in the performance of his duties as a judge —
(a) a
conciliation officer when performing the functions of a conciliation officer;
(b) an
arbitrator when performing the functions of an arbitrator.
(3) A person
representing a party in a proceeding before a dispute resolution authority has
the same protection and immunity as a legal practitioner has in representing a
party in proceedings in the District Court.
(4) A party to a
proceeding before a dispute resolution authority has the same protection and
immunity as a party to proceedings in the District Court.
(5) A person appearing
as a witness before a dispute resolution authority has the same protection and
immunity as a witness has in proceedings in the District Court.
