(1) In this section
—
relevant purpose means —
(a) a
WWC purpose; or
(b) a
purpose that is for, or connected with, the operation or administration of, or
compliance with, a corresponding law.
(2) The Commissioner
may disclose the following information about a person for a relevant purpose
—
(a)
information relating to the person’s criminal record;
(b)
without limiting paragraph (a), information relating to —
(i)
a person that is connected with, or otherwise related to,
a conviction or charge mentioned in a criminal record; or
(ii)
the investigation or circumstances of any conduct or
alleged conduct.
(3) A disclosure under
this section is limited to the following —
(a) the
CEO;
(b) a
corresponding authority;
(c) the
Commissioner of the Australian Federal Police;
(d) the
Commissioner (however designated) of the police force of another jurisdiction;
(e) a
person or body that is —
(i)
established or constituted under the law of another
jurisdiction; and
(ii)
prescribed by the regulations for the purposes of this
subsection.
(4) A person to whom
information is disclosed under this section may disclose that information to a
corresponding authority.
(5) This section does
not limit the powers of a person or body to disclose information under another
provision of this Act.
(6) This section does
not limit the persons to whom, or the circumstances in which, information may
be disclosed apart from under this Act.
